Make A Donation

Why does AHS need donations?

Anderson Humane Society relies on donations to continue our life-saving mission. AHS is a 501(c)(3) and receives no Federal, State, or government funding. Through fundraisers, grants, and the generosity of our supporters we are able to provide a safe shelter for homeless pets in Anderson County and provide services to the community. We LOVE our donors, without your help, we couldn’t accomplish the important work we do!

Are supply donations better than monetary donations?

We’re lucky to have the support of our community and local businesses when it comes to meeting our supply needs. Unfortunately, supply donations cannot help us pay for the visits to the Veterinarian, insurance, staff salaries and transportation for cats and dogs. Every little bit helps! Please consider giving a monetary donation no matter how small it may seem. Every donation makes a big difference in the lives of the pets at AHS. If you are able, please consider setting up a recurring donation, so you can help support us every month. All donations to Anderson Humane Society are tax-deductible!

How does your donation make a difference?

The dedication of our volunteers and staff is amazing, but without our donors we simply could not persist. We offer Spay and Neuter vouchers at a low cost to all Anderson County residents, in an effort to reduce the number of unwanted litters. We organize a yearly low-cost vaccination clinic to help the pets in our community stay healthy. We provide education and outreach to all pet owners in order to create happier pets and people. Most importantly, AHS is responsible for finding loving homes and caring, reputable rescues for all cats and dogs that come into Anderson County Animal Control and the AHS Adoption Center.
